Assemblymember Richard Bloom (D-Santa Monica) has been appointed by Speaker Anthony Rendon (D – Lakewood) to serve on the Assembly Committee on Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism, and Internet Media for the 2021-22 Legislative Session.

“This committee will play a key role, as we emerge from the grips of the pandemic and return to prosperity, for this essential part of our state and local economy. I look forward to working with the Chair and my fellow committee members to address these issues and pass crucial legislation that will benefit my constituents and all Californians,” said Bloom.
Assemblymember Bloom remains Chair of Budget sub-Committee No. 3 on Climate Crisis, Resources, Energy, and Transportation; and remains a member of following committees: Budget, Budget Sub No. 6, Business and Professions, Higher Education, and Local Government.

Richard Bloom represents California’s 50th Assembly District, which comprises the communities of Agoura Hills, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Hollywood, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Topanga, West Hollywood, and West Los Angeles.
