Angelo Metz Group Celebrates João Gilberto's Birthday on Jazz Tuesday at TRiP

The Angelos Metz Group is celebrating Latin Jazz Great João Gilberto's Birthday, June 10, 1931 (He would have been 95.)

Brazilian-born Angelo Metz started singing & playing guitar at age of 6. Son of a music teacher, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in classical guitar from the Federal University in Brazil. He also earned a Master’s Degree in studio/Jazz guitar, and a Doctorate in musical arts from USC. Besides playing with his group, Angelo is a solo performer as well as a sideman & recording artist and has performed on hundreds of sessions and live shows. Angelo also writes and records music for films & commercials.
