In observance of World Alzheimer's Awareness Day, All Community Theater (ACT) presents the world premiere of The Cottages: Scenes from Lives Interrupted.
Written by Stephen Hauk, the poetic play deals with many forms of memory issues, not only Alzheimer’s. It is a true look at life in a memory care home where the residents are treated with compassion and understanding, and the rich stories and humanity that emerge as a result.
The free performance will be followed by a discussion between the audience, the cast, and representative Monica Moore, M.S.G, from the Alzheimer’s Association. Refreshments and useful resources will be provided as well.
Sunday, September 27, 1 p.m. Simkins Hall
Followed by refreshments and discussion
