Cardboard Yacht Regatta Returns To Annenberg Beach House
Two-person teams will paddle their duct tape and cardboard yachts across the length of the pool in Santa Monica.

SANTA MONICA, CA – The 7th Annual Cardboard Yacht Regatta is coming back to the Annenberg Community Beach House on August 25. Two-person teams will paddle their themed and decorated yachts made from cardboard and duct tape across the length of the historic pool as spectators cheer them on, the City of Santa Monica press release said.
Awards include first, second and third place for fastest times, as well as Fanciest Yacht, Most Likely to Sink, Most Spirited Crew, and People's Choice. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 9 p.m.
The Annenberg Community Beach House at Santa Monica State Beach is owned by the State of California and operated by the City of Santa Monica; it's located at 415 Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica.
