Chill Out

Theme: Habits of Happiness

“I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.” (Philippians 3:9 NLT)

Judgement is a sign that we are not resting in God's grace. Jesus already died for our sins, but sometimes we act like we have to do something to earn that grace. People who live understanding grace extend it to other people. When we judge others, we can know we are falling into the trap of legalism.

Prayer: God, help me to forgive myself more easily, so I can do the same for others.

Example: My mom did not judge me for not packing a lunch, instead she extended grace, realized I do not have the full set of lunch-making skills that she had, and happily took me to lunch. :D
