Join community members, health and transportation professionals, police officers, City officials and others to discuss ways to improve pedestrian safety and walkability for older adults in Santa Monica. Free workshop will include a short walk to observe local conditions, a discussion of pedestrian injury data with traffic accident investigator Chris Dawson of Santa Monica Police, and strategies for improving pedestrian safety by changing pedestrian and driver behavior and the walking environment.
