SANTA MONICA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INSTALLATION DINNER

       87th Annual Leadership Installation Dinner to be held on June 14 at Fairmont Hotel

SANTA MONICA, CA (May 31, 2012) – The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce announced today honorees and program for the 87th Annual Leadership Installation Dinner to be held at the Fairmont Hotel and Bungalows on Thursday, June 14, 2012.  This year’s event will focus on “Catering to Business” and will honor the outgoing 2011-2012 Board of Directors and Chairman Ron Davis and also install the 2012-2013 Board of Directors and incoming Chairman Ellis O’Connor.

“The Installation Dinner is a chance for us to honor our board members and offer appreciation to all of our members and partners who help us throughout the year, ” said Laurel Rosen, President of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to be back at the Fairmont for this distinct event and to welcome Ellis O’Connor as our incoming chair.”

The event also honors businesses and individuals who excel in their respective industries and also gives sponsors a chance to honor employees who have gone above and beyond in their respective duties. Festivities will begin with a reception under the historic fig tree followed by dinner and program in the Starlight Ballroom.  Executive Chef Ray Garcia and the culinary team at Fairmont Hotel and Bungalows will create a distinct food and beverage offering that showcases local farm fresh ingredients.

Event Honorees Include:

Susan Gabriel Potter of Bob Gabriel Company Insurance is the recipient of the Roy E. Naylor Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors individuals for their achievements in Santa Monica, including an active commitment to service in the community.

Downtown Santa Monica and Wise & Healthy Aging have been selected for the Bob Gabriel Community Service Business Award which honors organizations who aspire to follow in Bob Gabriel’s footsteps in their commitment to Santa Monica and to those who are less fortunate in the community.

Chairman’s Award will be presented to: TJ Montemer, Santa Monica Mirror;

Susan Inwood, Wells Fargo Advisors; Rosalind Napoli, Setting LA;
