SMPL play is governed by the Official Rules of MLB, and PONY Baseball rules and regulations, which contain exceptions deemed necessary for a youth baseball program.

“It’s rewarding to see the excitement on these young players’ faces on Opening Day, when the whole season is sitting there waiting for them.” said Chris Lopez, a SMPL Board Member and former Los Amigos stand out, “That’s what makes a volunteer-based program like SMPL work, knowing our program helps teach children values such as teamwork, character and sportsmanship, which carry over into adulthood.”
