The Santa Monica Public Library, in collaboration with the League of Women Voters® of Santa Monica, presents “The California Crackup and How We Can Fix It,” featuring Joe Mathews
The state’s budget crisis has been much in the news lately. Joe Mathews is co-author of California Crackup: How Reform Broke the Golden State and How We Can Fix It, which the Los Angeles Times calls “an important new book.” Mr. Mathews’ talk will focus on his book that provides a new way of thinking about the state’s governance and fiscal problems and offers a new approach for getting California out of its current crisis. A book sale and signing will follow the program.
