SANTA MONICA, CA — It took Santa Monica firefighters about 15 minutes to knock down a structure fire Friday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to a building fire in the 1900 Block of Cloverfield Boulevard, near Delaware Avenue and the 10 Freeway. The fire was knocked down by 1:13 p.m.

Officials were warning drivers to avoid the area for possible delays and hazards.
