Home Needed For Paralyzed Dog Abandoned After Surgery
Tiger was abandoned after the owners learned that he may not walk again. Santa Monica's Fuzzy Pet Foundation stepped in to save him.

SANTA MONICA, CA – It seemed like hope was lost for Tiger, a corgi-Chihuahua mix left crippled after surgery. His owners abandoned him, and he faced euthanasia. But then, a Santa Monica rescue took up his cause, convinced that a new family will fall for the wheelchair-bound pup with an indomitable spirit.
The Fuzzy Pet Foundation is helping Tiger, recovering from surgery for a slipped disc, find a new home. His owners had a newborn baby on the way and had "no time to deal with a handicapped dog," according to a GoFundMe for Tiger.
Aside from the paralysis in his hind legs and mild incontinence, the 7-year-old pup is healthy and ready for a new home, according to the foundation.

“It may take us a while to find a forever home for a special-needs dog like Tiger,” Sheila Choi, The Fuzzy Pet Foundation's founder and CEO, said in a statement to KTLA. “He may or may not ever walk again, but he appears so comfortable and happy in his new wheelchair. We aren't giving up on him.”
A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for Tiger's medical bills.
