Homeless Man Arrested, Accused Of Bank Robbery In Santa Monica
Police said the man used a note to demand approximately $1,100 from a Wells Fargo Bank.

SANTA MONICA, CA — The Santa Monica Police Department arrested a homeless man on suspicion of robbing a Wells Fargo Bank of approximately $1,100 Tuesday morning, officials announced.
According to SMPD, they received a report about the robbery at 9:30 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 120 Broadway. According to staff at the bank, a man walked into the bank and used a note to demand money from staff.
The man fled the area on a bicycle with approximately $1,100, according to police. A description of the suspect and his direction of travel were broadcasted to police officers, who were able to locate him a short time later in the 2000 block of Ocean Front Walk.

Police said they found the man still in possession of the stolen money and witnesses positively identified him. Officers identified the man as Jordan Thomas Franzino and said he was from out of state and was currently experiencing homelessness.
Franzino was arrested on suspicion of robbery, SMPD said.
