IFC Extends Deal To Air Santa Monica's Spirit Awards Through 2020
IFC has been televising the show since 1994.

SANTA MONICA, CA -- IFC will continue broadcasting the Film Independent Spirit Awards through 2020 under an agreement announced Wednesday.
"IFC is the perfect home for the Film Independent Spirit Awards," said Film Independent President Josh Welsh. "They're smart, irreverent, funny and just crazy enough to do a live broadcast from a tent on a beach in February. We're thrilled to be renewing with them and look forward to making mischief together for three more years."
The Spirit Awards recognize the best in independent films. This year's 32nd annual ceremony will be held in Santa Monica at 2 p.m. Saturday, hosted by actor/comedians Nick Kroll and John Mulaney.
