Jewelry Store Robbery Suspect Identified By Police

The suspect entered the Santa Monica store and grabbed some merchandise before dropping it and fleeing the area, according to police.

SANTA MONICA, CA – The Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect believed to be involved in the armed jewelry store robbery that took place earlier this week at Curated Los Angeles, 1604 Montana Avenue, according to a SMPD press release.

The suspect is identified as Robert Art Abalov, 32, who is approximately 5’7” tall and 145 pounds. He has brown short hair and brown eyes. Abalov is a Los Angeles area resident, but his current whereabouts are unknown, according to SMPD. Following a preliminary investigation and evidence collected at the crime scene, SMPD Detectives have identified Abalov as the primary suspect involved in the robbery, and he should be considered dangerous.
