Lineup Announced For Inaugural Santa Monica International Jazz Fest
Kamasi Washington and Stanley Clarke are among the artists scheduled to perform at the first-ever Santa Monica International Jazz Festival.

SANTA MONICA, CA — The 100th anniversaries of the births of John Coltrane and Miles Davis are among the events to be commemorated during the first-ever Santa Monica International Jazz Festival, set for May 1-9 at various locations around town.
The event, which is being curated by music legend Stanley Clarke, has just announced its lineup. The event's scheduled to feature such acclaimed artists as Kamasi Washington, Hiromi's Sonic Wonder, the Miles Electric Band, Knower, and Clarke himself.
Among the locations in Santa Monica where performances are scheduled are Tongva Park, Broadstage Santa Monica, the Third Street Promenade, and the Orpheum Theatre. Some events, such as the Third Street Promenade concert, will be free, while others, like the Tongva Park event on May 9, will charge admission.
