SANTA MONICA, CA — The Santa Monica Police Department sought the public's help in finding a man who officers said attacked two people while they were eating at California Pizza Kitchen last week.
SMPD said they received reports of an assault at the restaurant at around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday where witnesses said they watched a man who appeared to be experiencing homelessness approach the couple.
"The victim and several witnesses told the officers that just a few minutes before, a male suspect, who was not known to the victim, without provocation approached the victim and his dining partner while they sat at their table, picked up two chairs, and slammed them down on the table," SMPD said in a statement.
