Meals on Wheels West Named a Finalist in Toyota Program
100 nonprofit organizations will be awarded vehicles in the company's 100 Cars for Good effort.

has been named one of the 500 finalists in a program by Toyota to recognize 100 key nonprofit organizations.
If the Santa Monica-based MoWW wins, it will be gifted with a new Toyota Highlander. The organization has said it would use the vehicle to deliver meals and services to people who are home-bound and disabled. The chapter does not currently have a vehicle of its own, according to MoWW President/CEO RoseMary Regalbuto.
Getting the vehicle would “allow Meals on Wheels West’s clients to always have their daily nutrition, go to doctor appointments, smile on holidays, have necessary furniture and appliances, and have friendship and hope,” she said. "This vehicle will mean that we can assist our area's most vulnerable residents to remain in their own homes living independently with dignity.”
