Moms Talk: Who Wears the Pants?
We want to know how clothing is decided in your family.
Ah, school mornings. Time to gather papers, arrange lunchboxes, eat breakfast, brush teeth and, of course, get dressed. It’s easy for you (or at least as easy as it is when you figure out what isn’t too stained), but for young kids it can be challenging.
They may want to wear their dinosaur jammies to school. Perhaps their tap shoes and a tutu. Or a little sundress with drizzle coming down from menacing clouds. Maybe that shirt that has seen way too many blueberries.
Who decided what your child wears to school? Is it totally up to your child or do you have the ultimate vote? Is there leeway but a few guidelines, i.e. must be weather appropriate? Do you have the same rules for clothing no matter the occasion? Or is it on a case-by-case basis?
