Cabonari is a standout student at New Roads School. She’s been a member of the varsity volleyball team since 9th grade. She’s also a member of the speech and debate team. Specifically, she’s been responsible for writing a speech that advocated for an expansion of sexual health education for NRS students, and she influenced the implementation of such.

She is a member of the Leaders of Human Rights Watch Student Task Force. She’s been the literary journal editor since sophomore year, and she is this year’s food and culture editor for the school paper.

Among the notable contributions, she also worked on a Recycling Project to increase the school's sustainability when she was a freshman.

“Welcoming our outstanding educators, police, firefighters, and this year honoring our health care heroes is something that no other community does,” Laurel Rosen, President of the Santa Monica Chamber said. “This event offers our community a chance to say thank you. These are our unsung heroes, and they deserve this recognition.”

“We are deeply moved by the extraordinary contributions of these individuals, and I join the Santa Monica Chamber in celebrating their service,” said Senator Ben Allen. “It has been a challenging year for the City of Santa Monica and these vital organizations stepped up to care for us in our time of great need.”

New Roads School is proud of all that Isabella has accomplished and thankful she’s received this honor.
