Over 14,500 Lose Power In Massive Santa Monica Black Out
A massive power outage in Santa Monica affected 14,633 customers in Santa Monica Friday morning.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A massive power outage in Santa Monica affected 14,633 customers Friday morning, according to Southern California Edison.
The outage started at 8:14 a.m. on Friday and there was no estimated time for when customers should expect their power to return as of 9:26 a.m. The outage continued to grow throughout the morning, starting at about 8,000 and growing to almost 15,000 customers affected.
The outage was reported in the area of Ocean Park Boulevard north of the Santa Monica Airport. As of 9:35 a.m., a field investigator was on their way to the area where the outage was reported to determine the cause.
