Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car On PCH In Santa Monica

The accident occurred early Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of Pacific Coast Highway.

SANTA MONICA, CA – A man was hit by a car and killed Wednesday in Santa Monica, authorities said. The pedestrian was struck about 5:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of Pacific Coast Highway and died at the scene, the Santa Monica Police Department reported. Authorities withheld his name, pending family notification.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was interviewed by police. Northbound lanes of PCH were closed while an investigation was conducted, a closure that was continuing about two hours afterward. Southbound PCH remained open.
