SANTA MONICA, CA — A person was rescued Sunday from the Santa Monica Mountains, according to first responders.

The rescue occurred Sunday afternoon before 3:15 p.m. at Echo Cliffs, according to the Ventura County Aviation Unit. The person was hoisted to safety and flown out to receive medical care, the air unit said in a social media post.
