At-Risk Man Goes Missing From Mar Vista: Have You Seen Wayne Burrell?

Authorities on Wednesday asked for the public's help finding an at-risk 64-year-old man with dementia.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities on Wednesday asked for the public's help finding an at-risk 64-year-old man with dementia who was last seen in Mar Vista.

Wayne Burrell was last seen at 5 p.m. Monday near Lincoln and Venice boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"Burrell suffers from dementia and has a prosthetic left leg. His family is very concerned for his safety," the LAPD said in a statement.

Burrell is a 5-foot-9 Black man who weighs 180 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black-and-white shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about Burrell's whereabouts is asked to contact the LAPD's Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800 or 877-527-3247 during non-business hours. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers online or at 800-222-8477.
