Mudslides Shut Down Portions Of 405 Freeway
Mudslides jammed up traffic on the San Diego (405) Freeway in the Long Beach and Sepulveda Pass areas Monday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Portions of the San Diego (405) Freeway were closed in the Sepulveda Pass and Long Beach areas due to mudslides. Commuters are advised to expect delays and watch out for Caltrans workers.
A mudslide near the Getty Center shut down the far right lane of the southbound side of the freeway for hours Monday morning. The lane was closed between Getty Center Drive and Sunset Boulevard, bringing traffic to a crawl.
Caltrans crews were on the scene working to clear the area, and declared the mudslide cleared shortly after noon.
