We can foster smart local growth while fiercely protecting the historic landmarks that make our hometown so special. Paving over our history for out-of-scale development destroys the very character that draws people here in the first place.

I firmly believe in strong historic preservation policies to maintain our distinct community identity. We need to respect the beautiful architecture and legacy businesses anchoring our streets. Mel's Drive In (The Penguin) and the Bergamot Arts Center are two sites worth preserving that are under attack right now.
