Santa Monica Hotels & Restaurants Receive 8 Diamond Awards

AAA has announced all hotels & restaurants in the U.S., Canada, Mexico & the Caribbean that received the 4 or 5 Diamond Rating in 2017.

SANTA MONICA, CA – Everyone knows Santa Monica is a beautiful place to be. There are ample amounts of modern restaurants with world-renowned chefs, gorgeous beachside hotels to visit, and all of the art and nature your heart desires. It turns out AAA recognizes Santa Monica's charm, too. The company recently released their list of award-winning Four and Five Diamond Rating hotels and restaurants in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, and Santa Monica hotels and restaurants received eight Four Diamond awards.

According to AAA hotel scale, they want patrons to think of each additional Diamond as an indicator of "more extensive services and amenities – on a scale from no-frills to highly personalized." AAA considers a One Diamond property to translate to "a bed, a pillow, and a bargain"; Two Diamonds is a more familiar, casual, and affordable setting; Three Diamonds "deliver the comforts of home, minus the effort"; Four Diamonds provides "a notable splurge for a special occasion"; and the coveted Five Diamonds are "the crown jewel."

For restaurants, patrons should think of each additional Diamond as "another reason to sit back and enjoy the experience - from quick and tasty to utterly amazing, according to AAA. One Diamond restaurants are for "grab it and go" meals; Two Diamonds is for a "relaxing break with expected favorites"; Three Diamonds offer a fresh and trendy dining-out event; Four Diamonds are a "culinary experience to savor and enjoy; and Five Diamonds offer an "entire evening of wow moments."
