Santa Monica Man Pleads To Violent Home Invasion Robberies
The 25-year-old pleaded no contest for charges related to three violent home invasion robberies.

SANTA MONICA, CA – A homeless man is facing 32 years in state prison after pleading no contest to charges stemming from three separate violent home invasion robberies in Santa Monica, the District Attorney's Office announced Thursday.
Brian Noah Morgan, 25, entered the pleas for two counts each of attempted murder and second-degree robbery, according to Deputy District Attorney Keri Modder. Morgan also admitted a special allegation of using a deadly and dangerous weapon, a knife, Modder said.
Sentencing is scheduled on July 6.

On May 15, 2017, Morgan broke into a residence and assaulted a person inside, the prosecutor said. The following week, the defendant broke into another home where a victim was stabbed several times and another was attacked with a hammer, the prosecutor said.
During a third robbery, a couple had just returned from their daughter's wedding and were unloading the gifts in front of their house when they were approached by Morgan, who demanded money, the press release said. After a scuffle, Morgan took the woman's wedding ring and some money, the prosecutor said.
