Santa Monica Police Investigating Hit-And-Run Crash At Deli

SANTA MONICA, CA — Police Tuesday are investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened at a Santa Monica market and cafe Saturday.

A driver crashed into Shoop's Delicatessen then fled the scene at about 5:25 p.m. Saturday, police told Patch.

Police responded to the area near 2401 Main Street and saw the vehicle had crashed into the store and left, Santa Monica Police Lt. Joseph Cortez told Patch.

The investigation is continuing and police say the vehicle involved was a dark-colored SUV.

"That is all our investigators will share at this point," Cortez told Patch.
