Santa Monica Woman Fights Off Naked Man Standing Over Her Bed: SMPD

SANTA MONICA, CA — A Santa Monica woman asleep in her apartment was surprised to wake up to a naked man she didn't know standing over her bed on Saturday, she told authorities.

According to the Santa Monica Police Department, the woman called police at about 1 a.m. on Saturday after she fought the man off and forced him out of the front door to her apartment in the 1500 block of 15th Street.

The Santa Monica Police Forensics Unit and Detectives responded to the call and, through investigation, identified 29-year-old Cordell Dionte Studley as the suspect. SMPD said Studley was seen at the apartment complex twice the day before.

Studley was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assault with the intent to commit rape, residential burglary and false imprisonment, police said.
