Santa Monica's Hole In The Wall Burger Joint Closes

The restaurant focused on making a good quality, economical eight ounce burger.

SANTA MONICA, CA – Hole In The Wall Burger Joint has closed in Santa Monica on May 14, Eater Los Angeles reported. The small burger joint opened ten years ago, according to the website. With the catch phrase "a working man's gourmet burger," the restaurant focused on producing a good quality, economical eight ounce burger.

The spot operated behind a now-closed Winchell's and included house made ketchup. Although the burgers initially cost around $10, the owners increased the prices this year, the website said.

Rotating weekly specials and custom burgers made this spot unique, and they even eventually included a chicken sandwich, according to the Hole In The Wall website. The restaurant was located at 2200 Colorado Ave., Unit C, Santa Monica, CA 90404.
