Santa Monica's Stone Canyon Industries Buys Netherlands' Mauser Group for $2.3 Billion
The acquisition will make SCI a global leader in containers and packaging for the chemical, industrial and food and beverage industries.

SANTA MONICA, CA - Santa Monica-based Stone Canyon Industries announced this week that it is acquiring the Netherlands' Mauser Group N.V., a global supplier of industrial packaging products and services, from the New York private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice for $2.3 billion in cash.
SCI, through its subsidiary BWAY Corp., is a North American manufacturer of rigid metal and plastic containers. Mauser manufactures and supplies plastic and steel drums and intermediate bulk containers and is a major provider of reconditioning services for used plastic drums and IBCs.
The acquisition will create a global leader in containers and packaging for the chemical, industrial and food and beverage industries, among others, according to BWAY President and CEO Ken Roessler.

Mauser's 4,500 employees operate 111 manufacturing facilities in 88 locations across 18 countries in Europe, North America, South America and Asia.
