Suspect Arrested Following Attempted Sex Assault On Santa Monica Beach: Report

The victim was sleeping on the beach when someone attempted to sexually assault her, according to Santa Monica police.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted sexual assault on the beach in Santa Monica, police said Monday, NBC 4 is reporting.

The victim, according to police, was sleeping on the beach when someone attempted to sexually assault her on Saturday, March 21.

The victim reported the case to police, who located a suspect later that day at the 1500 block of Palisades Beach Road and arrested a person who's identified in police records as Taiwan Nicholas Solomon, 40.

He was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted rape, attempted sodomy and assault with intent to commit rape.
