Tracking our city's money demands serious accountability!

Our city runs on a combined operating and capital budget of $908.8 million for 2026-2027—an astounding $143.5 million increase from $765.3 million in 2024-2025. How is this budget explosion tackling the debt we've accumulated in recent years? Tracking that kind of money demands serious accountability, but managing tax dollars efficiently doesn't require a miracle.​

We can definitely build a much leaner city government using pure common sense. We can create income through tourism - advertising our city to the world, and strongly supporting our local businesses and restaurants and, importantly, supporting our other industries fully.

I'm deeply committed to total fiscal responsibility. We'll streamline spending to ensure every dollar benefits our neighborhoods directly. Securing essential services like public safety and park maintenance is my top priority. Let's make our local government actually work for the people footing the bill.
