2 Men, Juvenile Arrested In East County Transit Center Robbery

The arrests stem from an Oct. 12, 2025, robbery at the Massachusetts Avenue Transit Center in Lemon Grove.

LA MESA, CA — Two men and a juvenile were arrested Thursday in connection with a robbery at an East County transit center, authorities said.

Detectives from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station, assisted by the sheriff's East County Gang Street Team and Special Enforcement Detail, served a search warrant in the 5500 block of Morro Way in La Mesa, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.

Sedrick Lipscomb, 24, and a juvenile were arrested during the search. Authorities recovered a handgun from the home, which investigators said was stored with a loaded magazine in an area accessible to children.

A third suspect, Demetrius Lipscomb, 27, was also arrested in the case but was already in custody on an unrelated matter.

Sheriff's officials said the victim met with the three suspects, who brandished knives and demanded the victim's backpack, cellphone and wallet. Detectives identified the suspects with the help of video footage obtained from the Metropolitan Transit System.

Sedrick Lipscomb was booked on suspicion of robbery, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and child endangerment. Demetrius Lipscomb was arrested on suspicion of robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The juvenile suspect was placed into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of robbery.
