3-Year-Old Critically Injured In Suspected DUI Crash In SD County

CHULA VISTA, CA — A suspected DUI driver was behind bars Wednesday after getting into a car crash and severely injuring a toddler riding in her vehicle in San Diego County, authorities said.
The two-vehicle crash happened shortly before 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the intersection of East Palomar Street and Brandywine Avenue in Chula Vista, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
Police found the 3-year-old girl unresponsive, Officer James Bucaro said. The child was taken to a trauma center, where she remained in critical condition.

Three women who were in the other vehicle, ages 42, 60 and 69, were taken to a hospital after complaints of pain, Bucaro said.
The driver of the car with the child, Ayneisha Bryant Frazier, 26, was arrested. She was booked into Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee on suspicion of multiple offenses including child endangerment and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Police did not disclose the relationship between Frazier and the child.
