84 Citations Issued During Traffic Enforcement Operation In Santee

SANTEE, CA — Authorities issued dozens of citations during a a traffic enforcement detail in Santee.

On Wednesday, 13 motor deputies targeted areas with high collision rates and locations with ongoing complaints related to traffic violations throughout the city, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.

During the enforcement detail, deputies issued 84 citations, sheriff's officials said. Of them, 67 were for speeding violations.

Deputies also assisted with a vehicle pursuit that originated in Lakeside, traveled through Santee and ended with the suspect's arrest in San Diego, officials said.

The purpose of the targeted enforcement was to reduce traffic collisions and address public safety concerns within the community, officials said.
