Academic League Week 10: Santee Teams Face Off
West Hills' varsity team beat Santana, while Santana's junior varsity team topped West Hills.
Academic League is a quiz bowl type competition with fast-paced questions ranging from arts, math, history, government, current events and other subjects students might encounter in school. Santee Patch will be reporting scores and standings each week of competition.
Santee’s teams went head-to-head in week 10 of the Grossmont Union High School District Academic League Competition.

Santana and West Hills’ varsity teams are now tied for first place. If the two teams remain tied at the end of the dual season next week, a playoff match will be arranged between both teams. The winner would become the 2010-11 first place team to represent the district at the San Diego County Academic League Competition this spring.
Santana’s junior varsity team, however, topped West Hills’ junior varsity team, 51 to 38.

Santana now ranks fourth while West Hills remains in eighth place.
