• Arrest Made in Brush Fire in Sorrento Valley (iheart.com) — Smoke from the recent Sorrento Valley brush fire drifted into East County, including Santee, after burning about 130 acres in Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve. Firefighters have largely stopped its forward progress, containment is improving, and a suspect has been arrested on suspicion of arson as investigators continue to examine the cause.
