• Update: Earthquake of 3.5 magnitude registered close to Dana Point, CA on Oct. 5 (sanluisobispo.com) — Residents in Santee were among those who felt a mild 3.5-magnitude earthquake centered off the coast near Dana Point around midday Monday, according to USGS reports. Shaking was weak and no damage is reported, but officials remind locals to be ready to drop, cover and hold on, and to secure their homes and emergency plans for future quakes.
