LAKESIDE, CA — A stop at an East County gas station turned into a multimillion-dollar payday for one lucky Powerball player Saturday night.
A Powerball ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, was purchased at Americo at 12402 Woodside Ave. in Lakeside, the California Lottery announced. The ticket was worth $2,259,918.
The numbers drawn Saturday were 1, 4, 19, 33 and 51, with a Powerball number of 15.
No ticket matched all six numbers, pushing the estimated jackpot to $538 million for Monday's drawing. Saturday's jackpot was estimated at $516 million.
Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game. Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
