Applicants Sought for Santee School Board Advisory Committees

SANTEE, CA — The Santee School District Board of Education is seeking to fill vacancies on several board advisory committees, and the deadline to apply is next week.

For the committees, the board aims to have broad-based representation from parents, community members, the business community, professional association leadership members and employees, according to a Santee School District Facebook post.

Most committees meet once a month from October through June, while others meet only as necessary.

The advisory committees are:

• Budget Advisory Committee
• Calendar Committee
• Character Education Committee
• Communication Committee
• District Advisory Committee (DAC)
• District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)
• Facilities/Safety Committee
• Special Education Advisory Committee
• Wellness Committee
