Baby Dies After Being Left In Hot Car In Santee
The 2-month-old girl was left for several hours in a parked SUV outside her family's home, according to the sheriff's department.
SANTEE, CA — A baby died after being left in a hot car in San Diego's East County, authorities said Wednesday.
A family member reported finding the 2-month-old girl unconscious June 13 in the vehicle in the 10000 block of Settle Road in Santee, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The girl was left for several hours in the parked SUV outside her family's home.
Paramedics took the infant to Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, where she was pronounced dead, Lt. Lon Nguyen said. Her name was not released.

The girl's death is under investigation, Nguyen said.
