Beach Cruiser Group Ride - Coronado

Got a bike? Come ride! This is a family-friendly bike ride for all skill levels.

This is a favorite with customers, families and friends. Organized by ElectraBikeForums.com (true beach cruiser enthusiasts), this is a family-friendly ride at a casual, Sunday pace.

It starts at the Cancer Survivor park, across the street from the airport. Parking here is free and it generally isn't very crowded. Folks meet at around 9:00 to visit with friends and take a look at all the different beach cruisers - believe me, many are true pieces of art!

Kickstands up at 10:00 - a casual cruise along the Embarcadero to the Coronado ferry ($3.00 each way, bikes are free!). We catch the ferry at 11:00 and meet more riders and bikes on the Coronado side at 11:15 (feel free to start the ride there for a shorter route).

From there we head through the neighborhood toward the navy base - wide open, quiet streets. We make a pit stop at the bathrooms near Dog Beach, before heading along the coast toward town.

Some people split off and have lunch in town, others keep riding. We ride along the golf course and under the Coronado Bay bridge and through the park. Some families stop here for a picnic or to play catch. Others keep cruising and stop for a late lunch at the Coronado Ferry landing.
Without stops and a casual pace, expect to make it back to your car around 2 or 3.

Bring sunscreen, some cash, water, a big smile and some wheels!

All bikes are welcome, all ages encouraged.

We hope to see you there!
