Born And Raised In Santee, Own a house here now, Solar Advice PLEASE?!

Hi there, like the title says...I've been born and raised in Santee.  Went to and then to .  I've recently bought my first house here as well. 

I'd really like to go (panels on roof of house) but REALLY would like to hear feedback from other members of the community as a legit 3rd party's perspective and truths along with pitfalls of leasing/financing Solar panels.

Of course there's solar city and some others out there that want to lease the panels to anyone they can but these companies are also benefiting in a HUGE way where some of us that are 'on the fence' about whether to lease or not could probably benefit ourselves.

I've tried searching the net but before I dive in to an associate (SALES PITCH), I'd REALLY appreciate anyone with experience or that knows more than I to chime in on the issue.

Is there a better option of Financing rather than leasing where I wouldn't have to put TOO much money$ down?!?
