"Mr. Santee" Councilman talks (see video in media box) with the original "Mr. Santee," Councilman and his son Jarrett about the upcoming vs. cross town football game (also known as the Jack E. Dale Cup).
The Jack E. Dale Cup is a 20+ year tradition in Santee and is a very big event for both schools as the winner of the game gets bragging rights for the entire year as being the . The winners also get a patch to place on their jersey that denotes the year of the victory and is apparently a pretty coveted item.
The winning school also gets to display the Jack E. Dale Cup (a beautiful trophy) in their display case for the year and their name and year is added to the cup for posterity.

Jarrett Dale played in the game two years while attending West Hills High School and said that it was the most important game of the year to the players. When asked for Councilman Dale's prediction he said: "I think that it is going to be a really good game."
