Brush Fire Sparks Off SR-67 In Lakeside
Crews from Cal Fire and Lakeside Fire Protection District are at the scene.

LAKESIDE, CA – Crews quickly stopped forward progress of a brush fire that sparked Monday afternoon in San Diego's East County.
The blaze broke out near state Route 67 at San Vicente Avenue in Lakeside, according to Cal Fire. The fire, called the Sparkletts Fire, burned about a half-acre of vegetation.
Crews from Cal Fire and Lakeside Fire Protection District were at the scene.

Northbound SR-67 was closed at Willow Road due to the blaze, according to Cal Fire.
