Burglars Steal Nearly $10K In Cash, Property From East County Home
Authorities are seeking the public's help to identify the masked suspects.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Authorities were seeking the public's help Thursday in identifying three masked burglars who broke into a home and stole nearly $10,000 in cash and property last month in eastern San Diego County.
The break-in happened around 6:30 p.m. July 21 at a home in the 1900 block of Saxton Lane in unincorporated El Cajon. The suspects smashed a glass door to the primary bedroom and used two pry bars to open a locked safe, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. They stole around $9,000 in cash and another small safe containing a handgun.
The suspects were believed to be two men and a teenage boy, according to the sheriff's department. They were last seen fleeing south into a nearby canyon.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to contact the Alpine Sheriff's Station at 619-659-2600, the sheriff's department's non-emergency line at 858-565-5200, or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or sdcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
