Nighthawk Energy Storage Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, August 11th
Join us to celebrate the grand opening of Arevon’s Nighthawk Energy Storage in Poway this coming Tuesday, August 11 at 11am!
Nighthawk, Poway's largest battery storage project, represents a $600 million investment in the City of Poway, powering 385,000 homes for up to four hours during peak demand. Additionally, over the lifetime of the project, Nighthawk is expected to generate more than $30 million in property tax revenue, helping support local schools, public safety, infrastructure improvements, and other essential community services. The batteries on the Nighthawk site will capture excess energy that is generated and discharge the energy into the grid during times of peak demand.
Marc Schaefer, District Representative for CA State Senator Brian W. Jones will attend. Joel Anderson, San Diego County Supervisor, District 2; Leuwam Tesfai, Executive Director, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC); Mike Leland, CEO of the Poway Chamber of Commerce and Chris Cate, President and CEO of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce will provide remarks along with Justin Johnson, CEO of Arevon at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
