The facility will remain open during construction. The timeline and phasing is based on keeping as much of the current campus open as possible to minimize the impact on members. The completion of the project and grand reopening is expected by Summer 2019.

“We are truly building what matters for the community, and we couldn’t do it without the support from our donors,” said Debby Lenz, Executive Director of the Cameron Family YMCA. “As a nonprofit, the Y depends on the generous support of our community to maintain a place for youth, families and seniors to grow strong in spirit, mind and body.”

The YMCA extends its deepest thanks to the following major donors who have made the remodel a reality: The Cameron Family, Michael Hood and the Woolman Family.

The Cameron Family, whose name the facility bears, has given over $2 million towards the facility’s inception 15 years ago, as well as towards the current renovation to meet the community’s growing needs.

When you become a member of the YMCA, you’re not just joining a gym, you’re supporting a movement dedicated to building stronger and connected communities. As a non-profit organization, the YMCA strives to meet the needs of the community through programs that encourage people to be healthier- regardless of their ability to pay. Donors make it possible to keep program costs low for participants. Additionally the YMCA offers scholarships to those who need the support.

The total cost of this project is $3.6 million, and there’s still time to support it by making a capital gift. For more information or to make a charitable donation, please contact Debby Lenz at dlenz@ymca.org. Naming opportunities are still available throughout the facility.
