Cooper's Hawk Family: Photo Of The Day

LAKESIDE, CA — Patch reader Eric Johnson captured this photo of a Cooper's Hawk family in one of his pine trees in his yard in Lakeside. The picture was taken on June 21, 2021.

"We had been watching the family for some time as the chicks got bigger and braver and finally came for a visit," Johnson explained. "They are on branches just above the middle of the main trunk."
